PITP'S TOP 25 AMBIENT ALBUMS OF 2018
Past Inside the Present is delighted to present what we believe are some of the best ambient releases of 2018. It was strenuous compiling the list to a Top 25 especially since 2018 was such a wonderful year for ambient music and the sub-genres thereof. I know we didn’t even scratch the surface of ambient releases of 2018, but nonetheless, we hope you discover something new from this list.

WOMEN IN AMBIENT
There is something unique and dynamic about the female perspective that should be more regularly acknowledged in the world of ambient music. Whether it be modular synth loops, grandeouis orchestral compositions, heavily manipulated found-sound, or ethereal vocals, women have a lot to contribute to this genre, and deserve to be recognized for their phenomenal work.
